2010 Spring Schedule

Wow! It’s spring already, even though the weather this week feels like winter is back. I know a lot of you are anxious to be outside but let’s face it we still have some quilting weather left here in the North Country.  I’ve added some sew days and tie nights so everyone has a chance to catch up on their UFO’s. There are also a couple of quilts and smaller projects and even a challenge.  Stop in to see the samples Laura Brockett has made, they look great. Hopefully there is something for everyone.

The classes will be held at 16 Exchange Street in Gorham, NH.  I reserve the right to cancel any class with less than 3 students. Class fee must be paid to reserve your space. If you would like to sign up or have any questions please call 466-5717 or drop me an e-mail at fdw49@hotmail.com

Hope to See You Soon,

Fran

Class

Description

Date and Time

Cost

Tie Nights

Tables will be available for anyone who has a quilt to tie.

Thursday, April 29th and Monday, May 3rd    and Tues., June 1st

Cost is $5.00 unless it was a quilt done in class.

Sew Night

I’ve had a few requests for sew nights.  Sometimes we just need some extra time to work on our projects and it’s a lot of fun to get together and chat while we do that.

Wed., April 28th and Tues. June 8th from 6:30 – 9:00pm.

 Class fee is $5.00.

Baby Quilt

During this class we will do the Disappearing Nine Patch.  There are still a couple of people who haven’t done this pattern.  If you are interested in coming to make a donation quilt for Project Linus I will make sure the quilts get to Marden’s when they are done. You may also do a baby quilt you want to finish.

Mondays May 10th and 24th.

Class fee is $25 or $10 if you wish to donate your quilt

Scrap Basket Quilt

This is a beautiful quilt whether you do it in all scraps or a more controlled color combination like Laura did for our sample.  Stop in to see it and start planning how you want to do it.  It’s a great way to use up that fabric stash.

Tuesdays, May 4, 11, 18 and 25 from 6:30 – 9:00 pm.

$50.00

Pillowcase Challenge

There is a million pillowcase challenge going on with a major quilt magazine and I thought this would be a fun class to get people in on the challenge.  We each make a case and I will find a place to donate them locally.  Then we can register them on line and add them to the count.  Sounds like fun and doesn’t take too much fabric.

Sunday, May 16 from 6:30 – 9:00 pm.

$10.00

Summer Purse

This is the perfect small bag when you just need your wallet and a few small items for a quick trip to the store.  I made one today and I love it.  By using up quilt scraps you already have coordinated fabrics

that will work perfectly in a bag.  This one is small, 6 by 8 inches when done and finished with some cording for the strap it’s an easy project.

Thursday, May 13th from 6:30-9:00 pm.

$15.00.  Kits will be available.
